The Overlight book has a number of average-power attacks and contains a variety of healing and shielding spells.

Some spells deal Light damage which deals double damage to undead minions and Liches.

Sky Ray.PNG Sky Ray 2 Targeted Infinite 3/5 Medium 50 Light A beam of light shoots vertically down from the sky towards the targeted area. It's unaffected by gravity, or deflecting shields/clouds.
Shining Bolt.PNG Shining Bolt 1 Ball Infinite 0/1 Small 45 Light Less affected by gravity than most projectiles. (Power is multiplied by 2)
Rising Star.PNG Rising Star 2 Targeted 1 5/- Massive 300 Light Over a period of five turns, an increasing number of stars is dropped in the general area, starting at one and ending at four (small stars deal 25 each). On the fifth turn, an extra-large star which deals 50 damage (and blows up really, really big), will land exactly where it was aimed. These stars can be easily deflected by English Summer or Blizzard clouds, or Shields.
Summon Pegasus.PNG Summon Pegasus 1 Minion Infinite 3/5 N/A N/A Summons a Pegasus. Pegasi are flying, mountable minions. A Paladin, or a Dark Knight from the underdark spellbook can also mount Pegasi.
Summon Paladdin.PNG Summon Paladin 2 Minion 1 5/- N/A N/A Summons a Paladin. Although he has terrible jumping abilities, he can mount the pegasus.
Forest Seed.PNG Forest Seed 1 Targeted Infinite 0/5 N/A N/A Creates a magical tree at the target location. The tree absorbs damage and blocks projectiles, then becomes a normal part of the terrain, but can be drained for health.
Summon Pixies.PNG Summon Pixies 2 Minion Infinite 0/5 N/A N/A Summoned in groups of three. The pixies can sacrifice themselves to teleport its arcanist or his/her minions to the pixies location.
Sphere of Healing.PNG Sphere of Healing 1 Ball Infinite 0/1 N/A -25 Light Heals instead of damaging. Hurts undead creatures and liches for up to 50 damage, with high knockback to undead enemies. (Power is multiplied by 2)
Castle of Light.PNG Castle of Light 2 Tower 1 0/- Small 75hp This tower heals the player inside it for 10 health points every turn.
Invulnerability Shield.PNG Invulnerability Shield 3 Personal 1 5/- N/A N/A This shield blocks all damage to the caster for 3 turns. It breaks after three turns, if the caster casts a spell, is knocked into the water or if Sanctuary's aura dissipates it. Note that moving your minions and using their abilities does not count as the caster casting a spell.
Shining Power.PNG Shining Power 3 Personal 1 5/- N/A N/A Gives the caster wings for permanent flight. The caster is restricted to arcane and Overlight spells. The caster cannot use towers. The caster will also heal 10 hit points per turn after casting the spell. This can stack with the familiar's ability to overall increase your protection by 15 each turn.

Note: You can still be flashed normally if you do not have any Protection shield (anymore).


Familiar - Cherub.PNG The familiar for the complete Overlight book is the Cherub. Each time it is charged, it allows the player to gain 1 health worth of shield (similar to the Protection Shield spell) per turn, up to 5 hp of shield per turn when charged to Level 5, to a maximum of 50 hp worth of shields. No shielding beyond 50 will be added by the cherub.

Fairy Ring 1 0/- N/A Teleports friendly units from the target position to the pixie's position. Sacrifices the Pixie. Affects a small area around the target location. Can teleport more than one unit, as long as it would fit in the pixie's explosion radius.
